GoDoctor Privacy Policy

GoDoctor and our affiliates and subsidiaries (“GoDoctor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) recognize the importance of protecting the privacy of your information, and we have prepared this Privacy Policy (this “Privacy Policy”) to provide you (the “Providers”) with important information about the privacy practices applicable to the GoDoctor software, websites services, telemedicine product, and any other website referred to in this Privacy Policy.

Patients and providers can use the GoDoctor Services to handle appointments, personal health data, correspondence, and other relevant tasks. GoDoctor works as a service provider for health care providers and does not own or control the information supplied to us through the GoDoctor Services, with the exception of information obtained through our websites at https://www.godoctor.app/ The information supplied through the GoDoctor Services will be retained in accordance with the needs of our health service provider customers as well as relevant law, such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.

This Privacy Policy applies to any information collected by us from Providers, Patients (as defined below), third parties at the direction of users, and Provider systems, as well as through the GoDoctor Services, that can be used to readily identify, contact, or locate an individual (“Personal Information”). Identifiable health information collected about you is likewise considered “personal information.” We do not regard information that has been anonymized so that a third party cannot easily identify a specific individual to be Personal Information.

This Privacy Policy does not represent the Providers’ privacy practices, and GoDoctor is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of our Providers. GoDoctor does not examine, comment on, or monitor a Provider’s HIPAA Notice or compliance with their separate privacy policies, nor does GoDoctor examine our clients’ instructions to see if they are in accordance or contradict with their public privacy policies or relevant legislation.

Information Gathering

When you or your patients use the GoDoctor Services, we may collect the following types of information (including Personal Information and PHI):

We receive information directly from you or the patients. We may collect any or all of the following sorts of information from Patients when they register, utilize our online services (through our websites or applications), our telemedicine services, subscribe to our alerts, or contact us directly for particular activities:

Contact information, including complete names, email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses for you and the patients;

We may combine this information with information about you or the Patients that we already have.

We collect data in an automated manner. When you use our GoDoctor Services, GoDoctor and our third-party partners, such as analytics service providers, may automatically collect certain information, such as your IP address, device and advertising identifiers, browser type, operating system, Internet service provider, pages that you visit before and after using the GoDoctor Services, and the date and time of the Patient’s occurrence.

To collect this information automatically, we may use cookies, pixel tags, Local Shared Objects, and other similar technologies. Cookies are little data files that your web browser saves on your computer. Pixel tags, also known as “web beacons” or “clear GIFs,” are very small images or small pieces of data inserted in images that may detect cookies, the time and date a page is seen, a description of the page where the pixel tag is placed, and other information from your computer or device.

We get information from health-care professionals and other places. We may get medical records from the Patient’s past, current, and prospective health care providers in connection with their treatment. Information on their diagnosis, previous treatments, general health, laboratory and pathology test results and reports, social histories, any family history of sickness, and recordings of phone calls and emails relating to their condition are all possible. Some of our users, such as Providers, are bound by laws and regulations that control the use and sharing of health information that they produce or receive. The 21st Century Cures Act, HIPAA, and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act of 2009 (“HITECH”), as well as the regulations enacted under it, are among them. We act as the Provider’s “business partner” when we store, handle, or transmit “individually identifiable health information” (as defined by HIPAA) on behalf of the Provider who has signed a Healthcare Provider User Agreement (as also defined by HIPAA).

GoDoctor is barred from utilizing individually identifiable health information in a way that the provider is not permitted to do. GoDoctor is expected to take reasonable and adequate steps to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personally identifiable health information that we keep and process on behalf of these providers, among other things. When GoDoctor acts as a business associate of a healthcare provider, it is subject to rules and regulations controlling the use and disclosure of sensitive personal and health information, including HIPAA.

Other sources, such as third-party services and organizations, may also provide us with information about you. We may combine first-party data from you, such as your email address or name, with third-party data from other sources and contact you as a result (e.g. through direct mail). For example, if you use the GoDoctor Services to connect to third-party services like Facebook, Google, or Twitter, or to share information about your GoDoctor Services experience with others, we may collect information from these third-party services.

Information Utilization

The information (including Personal Information) we gather online is used for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to:

Providing and enhancing GoDoctor services;

Providing products, services, and information in response to your demands;

The scope of this Privacy Policy is not limited by any request for your consent. You acknowledge and agree to GoDoctor’s information processing methods as outlined in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use by using the GoDoctor Service.

We may utilise the information gathered through the GoDoctor Services to look into potential or suspected threats to the GoDoctor Services, as well as the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data GoDoctor saves and maintains.

By using the GoDoctor Services, you consent to receive informative and customer service-related texts, phone calls, and/or emails from us at the phone numbers and email addresses you specified.

We may also send you an email to validate your account and for informative and operational purposes, such as account management, customer support, or system maintenance. If you want more information about our goods and services, we may send you marketing communications. Appointment requests, reminders, cancellations, and other alerts are common transactional or relationship communications sent by email. You may not be able to opt out of getting some of these communications from GoDoctor, but you may be able to change how frequently you receive them. Information Exchange

We value your confidence and want you to know when and with whom we may disclose the information we gather.

Providers of healthcare, insurance firms, and other healthcare-related businesses. Other health care providers, laboratories, government agencies, insurance companies, organ procurement organizations, medical examiners or funeral directors, and other entities important to providing them with treatment choices and assistance may exchange Patient Personal Information and PHI with us.

Authorized third-party vendors and service providers. We may share your Personal Information and PHI with third-party vendors and service providers that help us with specialized services, including billing, payment processing, customer service, email deployment, business analytics, marketing (including but not limited to advertising, attribution, deep-linking, direct-mail, mobile marketing, optimization and retargeting), performance monitoring, hosting, and data processing. These third-party vendors and service providers may not use your information for purposes other than those related to the services they are providing to us.

We take reasonable precautions to guard against data loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, and destruction. It’s important to remember that no data storage system or data transfer via the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be completely secure. As a result, we can’t guarantee or promise the security of any information you provide us, and you provide it at your own risk. We take precautions to assure security on our systems once we get your transmission. Please note that a breakdown of such protections does not ensure that such information will not be accessed, disclosed, changed, or deleted.

GoDoctor maintains an incident response policy that includes notifications in accordance with relevant legislation if a security system is breached.

You agree that we can contact with you electronically about security, privacy, and administrative problems pertaining to your use of this website if you use the GoDoctor Services or provide Personal Information to us.

Your Decisions

By emailing us at privacy@godoctor.app, you can opt out of getting general health and wellness or treatment choices that may be relevant to you. You may also email us at privacy@godoctor.app to request that we erase your Personal Information.

By altering your web browser settings, you may be able to refuse or deactivate cookies. Because each web browser is different, please refer to your browser’s instructions (usually found in the “help” area). Please be aware that in order to deny or deactivate Local Shared Objects and related technologies, you may need to perform extra steps. Local Shared Objects, for example, can be managed using the instructions on Adobe’s Setting Manager page. If you choose to decline, deactivate, or remove these technologies, you may lose access to some of the GoDoctor Services’ features.

Third-Party Advertising, Links and Content

Some of the GoDoctor Services may include links to third-party material that we do not control. Through cookies, pixels, local storage, and other technologies, we allow third parties, such as business partners, advertising networks, and other advertising service providers, to gather information about your online activities. These third parties may use your information to target advertising to your interests, preferences, and characteristics on our GoDoctor Services and elsewhere online. We are not responsible for the privacy policies of these third parties, and our Privacy Policy does not apply to their information practises.
